Checking Accounts



Most other financial institutions offer old-fashioned checking accounts. Your credit union offers a more modern alternative. With our basic checking account you can write 25 checks per month for free. If you write 26 or more checks per month the service charge is $5.00 per month! There is also no minimum balance requirements for our basic checking accounts. We also offer dividend bearing checking accounts with a $500.00 minimum balance. If you go below the minimum balance there is a service charge of $10.00 per month.

Your original checks are not returned each month. Microfilmed copies are kept on file at the credit union for seven years, should you need a copy of your original. This saves you time and money spent looking for checks, we do all the work for you. You will receive a monthly statement listing of all of your transactions.

The Credit Union also offers protection in case of accidental overdrafts, by a transfer from your savings account, or overdraft protection with an overdraft line-of-credit. After your account has been opened for 90 days, we offer Courtesy Pay by paying any overdrafts up to $1,000.00 with a $26 .00 fee for each item that we pay. Courtesy Pay is a great way to save you the embarrassment of having the item returned, and then paying more money to the merchant for their returned item fee.
